G. Edward Oldfield
Ted Oldfield is a partner in the firm who has been practicing law since since 1984. Ted has extensive experience in Commercial Litigation and Family Law. 21 of his cases have been reported by legal reporting services. Ted has focused his practice upon the legal needs of the agricultural community for many years and has developed expertise with regard to the legal issues which arise within the agricultural industry.
Ted has regularly appeared as counsel before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and at the Court of Appeal. He is also active as counsel before the Specialized Tribunals Boards in the agricultural industry.
In addition to his work as counsel, Ted chaired the Normal Farm Practices Protection Board for six years. This board adjudicated conflicts involving farmers and neighbouring property owners regarding the standards of practice to be utilized by farmers. Ted has also written and presented numerous papers and lectures at conferences and educational programs, including programs offered by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
